JULIE HARRIS WASSERMAN
As Executive Director, I am responsible for overseeing and supporting our six schools as well as our Administrative and Operations staff. I am passionate about people and committed to making Prime Time a great place for our families, students and employees. I’ve always had a motto- Take great care of your employees so they can take great care of your customers. The rest is just logistics. I’ve found this to be even more accurate at Prime Time. We have an amazing team of teachers and administrators who care deeply about the children in our care. My job is to make it easy for our teachers to do what they do best- create positive, loving and exciting classroom environments that accelerate our student’s growth and learning. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to serve as the next generation of the Wasserman family to lead Prime Time Early Learning Centers.”
I have over 20 years of leadership experience in both education and business. After completing a BS in Business Communications and a MS in Education, I began a career as a teacher, trainer and career counselor. Shifting my focus to the private sector, I built a successful career leading teams in various industries with the last 10 years as a Regional Director for the outdoor retailer Recreational Equipment Incorporated (REI).

FACILITIES, SAFETY AND SECURITY DIRECTOR
My parents founded Prime Time more than 32 years ago while I pursued 30 year parallel careers as a full-time United States Park Police officer and a part-time officer in the United States Coast Guard Reserve. After retiring from the Coast Guard Reserve as a Lieutenant Commander, Maritime Safety and Security Specialist and Senior Reserve Officer of the Pacific Strike Team in 2011,I continued my career as a U.S. Park Police Captain and the Acting Commander of the San Francisco Field Office, retiring in 2014.
In my capacity as Prime Time’s Facilities, Safety and Security Director, I oversee our six Prime Time Early Learning Center facilities and their safety and security programs. I enjoy employing my education, skills and experience in public safety, law enforcement, supervision and project management to help make our Prime Time Early Learning Centers as functional, safe and secure as they can be for the children and families we serve. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. John’s University. I started in the classroom at with Prime Time in 2003 and worked my way up to positions of increasing responsibility. I was selected as the Director of our new Hoboken location and was in charge of opening the new school. I lead a team of 52 Teachers and a program of more than 200 children. One of my greatest career achievements has been being a part of the Prime Time Hoboken design team which opened and quickly became a great success. As Operations Director, I am looking forward to bringing the same success we had in Hoboken to all our Prime Time Centers.
CENTER DIRECTOR – MIDDLETOWN
I began my career at Prime Time Early Learning in 1993. I am enthusiastic about leading our Middletown Center and creating an environment that is rich with opportunities for children to grow, develop and to prepare for school. I have an AA degree in Early Childhood Education and continuously attend professional development classes to stay abreast of the latest advances and practices. As with all Directors at Prime Time, I am CPR and First Aid certified, I also have the Medical Administration Training (MAT) certification for New York state.
I feel blessed to have a career that allows me to both be around children every day, and to form great relationships with parents. My personal philosophy is the same as Prime Time’s; to provide a safe and loving environment for children so that parents may devote needed time to their careers and development while secure in the knowledge that their children are in the best of hands.
CENTER DIRECTOR – FARMINGDALE
I have been the Center Director at Prime Time Early Learning Center in Farmingdale since it opened in June, 2000. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree from CW Post College and a Children’s Programming Administrative Credential (CPAC) from Empire College where I am also a CPAC Reviewer. I am an active board member of the Child Care Council of Suffolk and sit on their Medical Advisory Board. I am certified in CPR, First Aid and Medical Administrative Training (MAT).
I am dedicated to the belief that each child is unique and needs a safe, caring atmosphere to learn and grow. I believe that the most important job in the world is to teach and nurture a child. I know that every child who passes through our doors has been cared for by compassionate, well-qualified Teachers and assistants who have truly dedicated themselves to the welfare of all the children in our care. I am very proud to be the Director of Prime Time’s Farmingdale School.
CENTER DIRECTOR – HOBOKEN
I was a Kindergarten Teacher, a Child Care Center Assistant Director and a Director and have worked in Early Childhood Education for over 20 years before I joined the Prime Time Family as the Director of Prime Time Hoboken in 2015. I have a Teaching Certification from the Cyril Potter College of Education and both BS and MBA Degree from the University of Phoenix.
CENTER DIRECTOR – EAST RUTHERFORD
I joined Prime Time in February 2017 and have more than ten years of experience in Early Childhood leadership and management and a Bachelor’s Degree from Rutgers University. I started my career as an early childhood classroom teacher and have worked in a variety of positions with small and large child care providers building a strong understanding of how a team works together to run a successful school. I believe the most important part of early childhood education is developing children’s social and emotional intelligence. I love the opportunity to teach children how to problem solve and to be creative. I am a New Jersey native and when I am not with my Prime Time Family, I love traveling with my wife and two sons, exploring the world and seeking adventure in new and exciting places.
CENTER DIRECTOR – PARAMUS
I have over 20 years of early childhood education experience as a leader of child care teams. I was Center Director for several Bergen County YWCA facilities and prior to joining Prime Time, I was the Assistant Director of Turrell Child Care Center in Paramus. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and served as an instructor at Bergen Community College, teaching classes in their Child Development Associates Degree program. Having worked for many years with the NJ state GrowNJKids program and the Bergen County Office for Children, I have built an excellent regional reputation as a leader and innovator in the field of Early Education.
CENTER DIRECTOR – EDGEWATER
I began my career at Prime Time in 2011 at the Edgewater Center. Since then, I worked in a variety of leadership positions in several of our schools including Mahwah and East Rutherford. After working at the Paramus location as part of the Prime Time Management Team focusing on Marketing and Enrollment for all six of our schools, I was chosen to be the Center Director at Edgewater. I have a Bachelor’s Degree from Rutgers University.
